Different Types of Crosses
There are many different crosses that come in many different shapes. Every shape of cross represents a different Nationality or a different religion. The most common cross that we know comes from the Latin descents (as shown to the left). The cross acknowledged by the Greek may look like the one to the right similar to the one the Red Cross uses. St. Anthony's cross reminds me of a capital T (as shown at the bottom of the page). Where as the St. Andrew's cross is more like a large x. The cross titled the Maltese is the most interesting shape cross to me. It takes on the look of a badge less like a cross like the others. The Calvary cross is much like the Latin but seems to have stairs leading up to it. The Patriarchal takes on the same look as the Latin and the Calvary but has another cross tie mid way up to the top. These are some different crosses I found to be rather interesting. In the next blog I will get into some meanings, which I found to be as interesting as the different crosses themselves.
